Professional land survey work supervising and reviewing subordinate technical employees engaged in land survey and construction projects.
Minimum Qualifications: Florida Registration as a Professional Land Surveyor, or Must have taken the Professional Land Surveyor examination.
Appointing Authority May Also Require: Florida Driver's License or Florida Commercial Driver's License and endorsement, if any. Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations. Other highly desirable knowledge, skills, abilities, and credentials relevant to a position.
Highly Desirable: Degree in Survey and Mapping. Proficient in the use of CADD software. Skills in AutoDesk products such as AutoCAD Land Desktop and/or AutoCAD Civil 3d. Skilled in the practices of boundary determination, land title research, legal descriptions of real property, easements, and terminology while also being able to plan and provide lead direction to assigned staff. Familiarity with Pinellas County CADD standards.
